About Daily Summit Lab

Daily Summit Lab was founded in 2018 by Helen Havelock after twelve years working inside two of London's larger strategy consultancies. The name came from a habit she developed early in her career: spending the first thirty minutes of each day mapping the single most important decision in front of her, before email opened. The practice stuck. The consultancy grew out of the same discipline, a belief that clarity about what matters most is itself a form of competitive advantage, and that most organisations already have the information they need to act on it.

The turning point came in the autumn of 2021, when Helen was brought in to help a mid-sized infrastructure firm navigate a board-level disagreement about whether to exit a legacy division. The engagement was supposed to last four weeks. It ran for five months, touching governance, culture, and the firm's ten-year capital plan. That project clarified what kind of work Daily Summit Lab was built for: situations where the presenting problem is not the real problem, where the stakes are high enough that getting it wrong is genuinely costly, and where the leadership team needs a thinking partner rather than a slide deck.
